Sorry Day at Bogangar Public

On 26 May 2023, the Bogangar school community came together to acknowledge and commemorate National Sorry Day.

Throughout the week all classes were engaged in lessons around Sorry Day and the meaning behind why we reflect on this terrible time in our history.

Each student created a cut-out of a native desert rose – the commemorative flower for The Stolen Generations.

The students’ artwork formed a beautiful representation of the whole school, with the display stretching across the school foyer.

A description of the meaning of the flowers was also placed on the display.
